She got our drink orders wrong, couldn’t tell me about the sauces and acted like it was an issue I asked, didn’t bring us silverware our napkins (and we had wings at the table), and was just overall not attentive at all. The biggest complaint from reviewers was service, and I will agree with these reviewers 100%. I was excited upon hearing about a Greenville location, and despite reading the reviews, was hoping for the best. I lived in Charlotte when Mac’s first opened, and worked a block away, so I went to the original very often. So, I recommend the place for the food and booze, but make sure the hostesses and waitresses take care of you, because it apparently isn’t a given that they will. The waitress did a great job of trying to make up for making us late and taking care of us after the initial mix up. Again, the food was good, I had the Route 66 burger and my date had the Cuban pork sandwich, both were awesome. Our food comes about 5 minutes later, for those of you playing at home, the drive game has just started and we are finally eating our food. Another 10 minutes goes by and we finally get our beers. They were a little ditzy, so we finally get to order. 5 minutes later, the waitress finally shows up and apologized profusely blaming the hostesses. After 10 minutes, no one had come by to take our order and I went back to the hostesses to let them know. Restaurant was busy, but had plenty of tables open. We had 30 minutes before the game started, got sat by the hostess and looked over the menu.
I came here with my girlfriend right before a Drive game to catch some of the good food I have heard about and the great beer selection.
Good luck staying open when you treat your customers like crap - "Biker Bar" or not.give people the benefit of the doubt and don't foster an atmosphere of rudeness from the manager to the hostess.Great Food, Great Beer Selection, Poor Service. Fine man.you can feel freak out or whatever, but I have choices about whom to support during a pandemic and any other time. You could have been nice and said, "Sir.did you forget your mask?" or "Sir.would you mind wearing a mask when you aren't at your table?", but no, it was a full-throated scolding. As I walked back out to my table, the manager marched out of the kitchen and accosted me rudely about not wearing a mask as in, "If you are coming into this restaurant, you WILL wear a mask!". Had lunch with a friend, had to use the bathroom and jumped up to hit the head. I brushed it off and came in the next week - with my mask. Apparently, either mask sales are important now or they only matter between the front door and the hostess booth. Except that I wore the mask to the table, took it off and was waited on by a server with her mask below her nose. Seriously? So I hiked back to the car and got my own. She said yes, but it would cost me a dollar. I explained to the new hostess that I'd left it in the car and asked if she had a disposable one I could use. You would have thought I was going to try and rob the place. Then one day, I walked in having forgotten my mask. Always wore my mask, tried to leave a big tip, etc. the pandemic got going because I wanted to support my local favorites. I don't know whether it is just pandemic crankiness or they've had a change in management, but I'm 100% finished with them. I've been a regular here for years - as in 2-3 times a week, as I work nearby.
